Team GB Olympic Glory – Bad news for the Economy

Wow, what a performance by our athletes in China, congratulations to them all.

Trouble is this could be very bad news for UK economy, because we all know that if we had an Olympic event for gloom and doom, self deprecating and “whose to blame” journalism we would no doubt top the medal table.

The bad news about our success in the Olympics is the opportunity it presents to our media, put simply it is one of the best they have had for many years to implode us. With so much success to eventually rubbish, the media will have years worth of expose’ and truth twisting to came which means that as the economy starts to improve no one will report it.

We the people would like mortgage lending to be an Olympic sport, every 4 years our best and most successful mortgage lenders can compete for a Gold Medal, in a number of events

• The mortgage sprint, quickest time wins.
• The Interest rate pursuit, lowest wins
• The Marathon, the highest % of retained customers wins
• The Relay, the quickest call answering, handling and baton passing wins.
• Synchronised answers
• Rowing, winner would need to have all staff pulling in the same direction

That way we can create a level playing field in subsequent rubbishing season and keep the recovering economy in the news.
