200 million Euro investment planned for the Costa Calida

The Energy giant Iberdrola is part funding what is set to become one of the largest and boldest tourist developments in Europe.

The Marina de Cope will be built an Cabo Cope in the Costa Calida on 21 million square metres of Land, will comprise 11,000 properties, 22,000 hotel rooms, 5 Golf Courses, 10 commercial and shopping areas including a Hypermarket. A spectacular marina catering for up 2000 moorings is also planned.

The Marina de Cope development will be built by  a consortium of Caja Murcia and Bancaja the company will be known as Urbanizadora Marina de Cope SL and will create 3800 new jobs.

In order to preserve the natural beauty of the local area, famous for its small rocky coves, no properties will be allowed to built with a 500 metres of the coastline. According to Urbanizadora Marina de Cope will also be developed as a “sustainable” and high quality community.
