The development of nearly 4000 apartments in 20 skyscrapers has been given the go ahead on what is considered to be the most valuable piece of land in Benidorm.
The plans to develop the Armanello zone in Benidorm, first put forward 2000, were finally given the green light by the provincial court in Alicante despite objections and an appeal lodged by Pueblo the private company that runs the weekly market and a number of local property owners.
The development will be undertaken by a consortium of some of the largest construction companies in the region, Civica, Edival and Ballester.
Ballester are currently the centre of some controversy over what many allege is the illegal construction of two tower blocks at Punta Llisera
