Whether it is the world of Disney, enjoying a day on the ski slopes or taking in a tour of the many wine regions, France has plenty to keep everyone happy.
• Skiing. Enjoy a wide range of winter sports in the French Alps or the Pyrenees.
By far the most popular ski holiday destination for the British is France, with the huge number of resorts catering for every level of skier or snowboarder.
There’s no lack of variety or sheer number of skiing options in France with the massive ski areas of the Three Valleys and L’Espace Killy being particularly popular. Good snow records also add to their popularity. Some of the most popular French resorts include Val d’Isere, Meribel, Courchevel and Les Deux Alpes.

•Watesports. Enjoy a wide range of watersports at France’s 3,000km of coastline. Famous resorts include St Enogat and St Jacut on the Emerald coast in Brittany, and Cannes, Nice, St Tropez, Antibes and Menton on the south coast.
• Côte d’Azur. Enjoy the jetsetting lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur: stroll on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, famous for its Flower Carnival in January, or mingle with celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival held in May.
• Casinos. Hit the jackpot at the casino of Monaco or the casino of Deauville, also famous for its golf course and race track.
• Wine tours. Enjoy a wine tour or take part in harvesting the grapes: there are 10 principal wine regions including Alsace, Burgundy, Champagne, Rhône Valley, each with its own identity based on grape varieties and soil. Many vineyards offer free tours.
