Making a will in Brazil

Whenever you buy property abroad it is always advisable to make a will in the country where the property is located as well as amending your domestic (e.g. UK) will.  This is because confusion can occur if there is any discrepancy between the wills and local laws may not recognise the jurisprudence of UK laws when it comes to the inheritance of local property.

You are advised to consult a reputable lawyer versed in the vagaries of both your local law and the Brazilian legal requirements - don't leave it to chance!
