Residency in Cyprus

In order to settle in Cyprus permanently and to live on earnings derived from your pension or other income from outside Cyprus, you have to apply for an immigration permit. In order to do this you have to apply to the Chief of immigration office, Nicosia, in Cyprus for their approval.

 

You will be requested to send in your application with a small curriculum vitae  and documentary evidence that you have to show your own annual income i.e. pensions or dividends from investments, savings etc. This evidence must show that your have an adequate income to support both yourself and other dependent family members for your stay in Cyprus. Please note that only original or certified copies will be accepted. If your application is accepted under the Regulation 5 category F of the Aliens and Immigration Regulation, you will not be permitted to work or engage in any business once resident in Cyprus. Temporary residence in Cyprus

 

All non-Cypriots can live in Cyprus as long as they can prove that they have sufficient income to support themselves for the time they wish to remain in Cyprus. Your income can be no less than CYP12, 000 per annum plus rent, or enough funds to purchase a property there.   • Certified copies of passport
  • 3 photos (passport size) of each family member
  • Bank reference of person whose income will be funding the stay
  • Bank statements showing proof of income
  • An employment contract. They may also wish to interview all family members.
