Pet Care and Travel in Morocco

Most towns and cities do have adequate veterinary surgeons, before travel it may be wise to locate the nearest to you. If your pet is insured, check with your insurance provider to whether or not you’re pet is covered outside the UK, and what procedure you should take when needing to make a claim abroad.

The Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) is the system that allows pet dogs, cats and ferrets to travel to and from certain countries. Dogs and cats can travel to and from any other EU country. The UK does not allow the import of dogs, cats and ferrets that have not been vaccinated against rabies. You must ensure that you dog, cat or ferret meets the requirements of this scheme prior to travel. Pets may have to undergo various vaccinations or even quarantine.
