Marbella Beaches Costa del Sol Spain Location and Property Guide

Marbella is one of best known resorts on the Costa del Sol. Marbella is located in the Spanish region of Andalucia on the Costa del Sol and it is classy, glitzy and oozes coastal charisma. Marbella is Spain's answer to St Tropez and is now one of the Mediterranean's premier holiday resorts. Marbella has 27 km of coastline on the Costa del Sol and 24 different beaches. Most of the beaches are well served with all the usual beach side essentials of lifeguards, children's play areas, and a variety of watersports including jet skis, pedaloes, wind surfers and banana rides.

Marbella starts at the east coastline in Guadalmina where the beach is pebbles with dark sand and is not as busy. In San Pedro de Alcántara, the Playa de Linda Vista is another pebble beach with dark sand. The city beach of San Pedro is popular and has dark sand with some rocks. Further on is Puerto Banus a dark sand beach, which is a popular city beach with beach bars, and many watersports.

Continuing you reach Puente Romano with a beach similar to the one in Puerto Banus but less busy. The Marbella beaches that follow from here are all quite similar. They are busy during the summer and have beach bars, restaurants, and leisure activities.  Next on the outskirts of Marbella are the beaches of La Fontanilla; Playa Faro, Venus and El Pinillo. Leaving Marbella towards the west you will reach the Playa de Los Monteros, with fine white sands and numerous watersports. The beaches of Playa del Alicate and La Vivora then follow.

Las Chapas; Artola, Cabopino, Calahonda beaches have fine golden sand as well as numerous sporting activities. These are the best beaches of Marbella, with Cabopino the only nudist beach in the area.

In Marbella you can walk along the famous Golden Mile and dine at some of the best restaurants that the Mediterranean has to offer. Head for the port of Puerto Banus where you can enjoy the glitzier side of Mediterranean life.
