Santa Susanna in the Costa Brava has a 2.5 km sandy beach, which merges into the neighbouring resort of Malgrat de Mar. The beach is clean and family friendly and there is a good range of services. During the summer months there are plenty of sports and leisure activities to enjoy at the seafront including,  windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing and kayaking. You can also take one of the many boat excursions along the coast. Some of the boats operate as water taxis so you can spend some time at one of the other popular resorts, such as Tossa de Mar or Lloret de Mar. The promenade is well served with bars and restaurants. Next door Magrat, to the north, and Pineda de Mar, to the south, also have good sandy beaches with bars and street cafes.

The hills of the Massif Montnegre natural park extend right down to the sea to the south of Santa Susanna, creating some charming rocky coves. Further up the Costa Brava coast you can explore the wild coastline with its many unspoilt fishing villages and sheltered coves nestling at the base of some dramatic cliffs.
