It hosts amongst many shopping areas, the world famous shopping street Kurfürstendamm with various shops, cinemas, popular cafés and restaurants. In the district you also find a wide choice of theatres, as the Deutsche Opera and Theater des Westens, museums, two universities, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the Berlin Zoo.

Close to the property lies the beautiful, 300 years old Charlottenburg Castle which is the biggest remaining Castle in Berlin where not just Kings lived, but also musicians, artists and philosophers, and the government still welcomes official guests there. The historical Castle is a highly demanded entertainment location for culture und society gatherings. Formally used as plant hall, the Große Orangiere is now used for banquettes and occasionally for classic concerts. Bigger shopping streets as the vibrant Wilmersdorfer Straße are easily reached with the underground going from Mierendorffplatz.

With over 33,000 shops located in Charlottenburg, the borough has the highest density of shops and also of doctor’s practices of the whole Berlin city. Many parks, the river Spree and little lakes invite to walks, runs or boat rides. In cold winters ice-skaters can use the frozen lakes.

Berlin, the capital of Germany, is not just the biggest city in Germany and the second biggest of Europe. Parks, lakes and forests cover 30 % of the city which makes it a green city, it has Europe‘s largest central station and is teeming with museums, galleries and concert halls. Artists from all over the world are making Berlin their mecca and companies are making it their location. Coca Cola, Daimler Chrysler, BMW, Samsung, Deutsche Bahn AG and music labels as Universal Music, BMG and Sony are all located in Berlin. New industries are also springing up: Berlin is now a biotechnology, IT and new media cluster.

Compared to other big German cities and even European cities, Berlin is more affordable, not just generally speaking, but especially the property prices lie far behind those of, for example, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart. The time to invest in Berlin property is perfect, as the city is thriving and growing fast. The development for Berlin is enormous and new properties are still build.

For shopping, Berlin offers many big shopping centres and shopping streets, as well as the luxurious 100 year old KaDeWe and the only other branch of the Parisian Galeries Lafayette. Culture-lovers will find that the city has many museums and historical buildings. Just the Museum Island alone offers four museums and two galleries. Potsdam with its Sanssouci Castle can be easily reached by car or urban rail. In September the Berlin Marathon has runners running through the whole city.

Hop on a short, low-cost flight from the UK and within under two hours you can experience Berlin‘s unrivalled café culture for yourself. The Berlin real estate market has expanded dramatically in the last two years
