Putting Your Safety First
Overseas Property Centres are an independent UK company and as in common with all Real Estate Agencies we receive commission from the seller on the succesful completion of the purchase of their property.
Importantly, due to the nature of the market in which we operate Overseas Property Centres adheres to a srtict Due Diligence process before entering into any agreement with a seller.
Our Due Diligence Policy
We make a point of avoiding any place, firm or person if we have reason to suspect it may not be safe for our clients, or for our partners or for us to do business.
This means we do not promote properties or developments in regions and locations where land ownership can be contested, or from companies that we cannot reference properly.
Our Due Diligence Process
Our Trusted Developer Program means we have undertaken the sort of checks that it would difficult for any individual to do which means that you can select properties from us with confidence in the kowledge that we will have researched the sellers and made checks concerning:
• How long they have been in business. We reject any company that does not have at least 3 years track record in the market. We use an International Credit checking agency and obtain a detailled credit status report.
• Financial status. We check the latest published accounts and raise any queries with them. In some circumstances we will also obtain references from their bank or accountants.
• Service. We visit all of our suppliers to ensure that they have the necessary experience and available resources to provide high service during and after the sales process.
Chris Richards Managing Director of Overseas Property Centres says “Buying a home or investment overseas need be no more troublesome or worrying than buying one in the UK. But we all know that things can sometimes go wrong and publicity of horror stories means that people are concerned about being ripped off. That is why we have developed our Trusted Developer Program”.
“When you buy your property through Overseas Property Centres you know the supplier of that property will have been vetted by us first. What I also strongly advise is that you always appoint your own lawyer who is independent from the other parties involved in the transaction”.
